Mental Models

I wrote some cool ideas over the years, and heres a short compilation of some of the cool ideas and beliefs I formed. I will probably update this as I find more

Nobody will actually believe you until you prove it in the real world - a tangible manifestation of your claims will be the only thing that will meaningfully convince most people of your words/ideas

Its better to have a shit plan than no plan

Luck has something to do with the serendipity you allow to happen to yourself. That's probably the most control you have effectively over "luck", whatever that actually means

"Experts" in fields are more wrong than people percieve them to be because of how much their belief in whats possible and not possible is solidified and cemented + reinforced by the "experts" that constantly surround them. Its something like an echo chamber... On the flip side, you are probably more wrong than you think you are, but the difference is that you probably much more malleable and flexible in your future beliefs, and so you can be more right

Larping is good in a way that its a tell that there is something artificial about the crowd that people are trying to recreate. Its showing you who to avoid

Social media is extremely good at teaching you social and societal norms. In turn it makes you easier to socialise with

better to think about what you want to do with your life sooner than later. it might be too late by the time you find out slowly

I think its healthy to reinforce your ego to the level of your self worth - otherwise you will simply not believe in yourself enough

we all know how hard it is to change ourselves, so imagine how hard it is to change other people

what's the point of knowledge if you dont share it

last impressions last

status will get you noticed, substance will get you remembered. you should probably get both, but substance>status in terms of actual value

enjoy your life
